Back–to–School Story-Time Journaling for U.S. KIDS!

¡Hola a todos! Hello everyone, Nancy here!

Here in Canada, back-to-school does not begin until September, but for some of the kids in the U.S., their back-to-school time begins in August.

And now that August is practically here, I have a wonderful idea for class or home projects, and it's called "My Daily Summer Journal". 

KIDS

A journal is when you write down the events of your day in a book. For example, if you went swimming today, you can write down that you went swimming with your parents and friends at the park and then after your swim, your parents bought you all ice cream. 

To make your journal a little bit more fun, you can add pictures of yourself, your parents, and friends, along with other photos that were related to your day such as pictures of a baseball cap, the ice cream you all ate, your family car, and so on. 

And don't forget to add a small written description of your day too.

I created the layouts that you are seeing above. They will help to give you good ideas when creating your layouts.

Journaling

Journal writing for kids is a wonderful way for them to learn how to express their emotions. Furthermore, it is an effective and creative, and fun way to document special moments they live out throughout their childhood. In a nutshell, it is a therapeutic activity.

Their journaling will be treasured memories for when they are all grown, married, and with their own children. They will then carry on the tradition of journaling to their own children and so on.

Journaling Supplies
